Lucknow: On the occasion of the fourth Tuesday of the auspicious Jyeshtha month, the Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Akademi organized a Sunderkand recitation and community feast (bhandara) at its campus in Lucknow, bringing together a large gathering of cultural enthusiasts, staff, and dignitaries.
The event commenced with the spiritual recitation of the Sunderkand, attended by the Hon’ble Chairman of the Akademi, Prof. Jayant Khot, Vice-Chairperson Mrs. Vibha Singh, Director Dr. Shobhit Kumar Nahar, as well as all employees of the Akademi and members of cultural group Jai Ghosh. Trainers and a large number of trainees from various workshops run by the Akademi also took active part in the spiritual reading.
Following the recitation, a community feast (bhandara) was organized. The event witnessed the presence of eminent guests including Prof. Mandavi Singh, Vice Chancellor of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Principal Secretary Naveen Kumar, Suhas L.Y., and Assistant Director of the Directorate of Culture, Tuhin Dwivedi. Finance Controller Dilip Gupta and a large number of officials and staff from the cultural department also participated in the event.


The atmosphere was filled with devotion and cultural harmony, reflecting the spirit of collective reverence and celebration that marks such traditional observances in Uttar Pradesh.
